1. Information We Collect

When you use Jellybook, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your email address and username when you create an account. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, optionally, your email.
• Collection data: The Jellycats you add to your collection and wishlist, including any notes or photos you attach.
• Identify photos: If you use Identify, the photo you take or choose, and which Jellycats it matched. See Identify and AI services below.
• Usage data: Basic analytics about how you use the app, such as pages visited and features used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Jellybook app and your account
• Sync your collection and wishlist across devices
• Send you new release alerts (if you opt in)
• Improve the app based on usage patterns

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the app (hosting, email delivery, and the AI services that power Identify) and as required by law.

Identify and AI services

Identify finds a Jellycat from a photo. The app asks for your permission the first time you use it, and here is what happens when you do:

• Your photo is sent to the third-party AI services that do the matching: Replicate, which runs our matching models including Google's Gemini, and Cloudflare Workers AI. They use it to answer your request.
• Before your photo leaves your phone, the app removes its location and camera details.
• Jellybook doesn't keep your photo on our servers. We save which Jellycats it matched, and whether you told us a match was right, to make Identify more accurate.
• A copy of your photo stays on your phone so you can look back at past results. Deleting the app removes it.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Cloudflare's infrastructure. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

5. Your Rights

You can:

• Access and download your data at any time through the app
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of non-essential emails

6. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies and do not track you across websites. The iOS app does not use third-party tracking SDKs.

7. Children's Privacy

Jellybook is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
